How a search on Google becomes a call to you
Google shows local businesses in three places: the ads, the map and the search results. Here is how each one works, and what we do about it.
How Google works
How Google decides who shows up
People search for a job and a town. Google shows ads at the top, a few businesses on the map, and then the pages that answer the search best.
1. The ads at the top
Search ads are paid per click. Local Services Ads are Google's pay-per-lead ads, with a "Google Verified" badge, and only some trades can use them. Ads start in Get Customers (Tier 2), and ad spend is billed to you separately.
Google and Facebook ads2. The map
A few businesses Google picks for the search and for where the person searching is. Your Google Maps listing is what shows up here.
Your Google Maps listing3. The search results
The pages Google thinks answer the search best. A page about a kitchen remodel in your town is a better answer to that search than a home page that lists ten services.

SampleIt is a sample. No one can promise a ranking.
Your website is where all three send people, so it has to load fast on a phone and make calling easy. We start with it. How we build websites
Homeowners also look at Facebook, Instagram, Yelp, Angi, Thumbtack, Houzz, Nextdoor, Porch and HomeAdvisor. In Get Customers (Tier 2), we set up and improve your profiles there. Any charges on those sites are billed to you separately.
What no one can promise
Google says there is no way to request or pay for a better local ranking.
Google ranks the map on relevance, distance and prominence: how well your listing matches the search, how far you are from the person searching, and how well known you are. So nobody can put you at the top of the map in a town an hour away.
Our part is making sure Google understands what you do and where, that people who find you can reach you fast, and that, where we can tell, you know which calls Google sent.

Three steps
How it starts
Start with the Free Scan. One plan, monthly. Website first, then the rest.
- 1
Free Scan
Type your website. One of us looks at how homeowners find you. We also look at what happens when they try to reach you. We email you what we found. If we do not think you need us, we say so.
Free - 2
One plan, monthly
We go through what we found together on a short call. We suggest one plan: Get Visible (Tier 1) at $3,000 a month, Get Customers (Tier 2) at $6,000 a month, or Get Growth (Tier 3) at $10,000 a month. The prices are on the pricing page before the call, so the call is to confirm fit, not to reveal the price. You see what is in the plan before you say yes. Month to month.
- 3
Website first, then the rest
We rebuild or fix your website first. Then Google Maps, Google search, and counting every call and form. Everything we set up stays in your name.
Free. No logins or passwords.
Counted
Every call and form counted
From the day counting is set up, every call and form is counted and, where we can tell, marked with where it came from. It cannot count the past.
