What we do

How we get you more reviews

  1. The same link for every real customer. Each customer gets a direct link to your Google review page. Nobody is screened out first.

  2. Complaints come straight to you too. Any complaint also reaches you, so you can call the customer and put it right. It never stops them from leaving a review.

  3. Asked all year. People look at recent reviews, so the asking does not stop in a slow month.

  4. A reply drafted for new reviews. We watch for new reviews and draft a calm reply to each one, good or bad.

  5. Only real reviews on your website. Your site shows your real Google reviews with a link to the live listing, so the number on the site is the number on Google.

Review requests and reply drafts are in Get Customers (Tier 2) and up.

Why it matters for calls

How many reviews you have, how recent they are, your star rating, and whether you reply. They help decide where you show up on the map, and whether the person who finds you calls.

Google ranks the map on relevance, distance and prominence, and prominence is how well known you are. Reviews are part of it.

Google's pay-per-lead ads are ranked partly on your rating, how many reviews you have and how fast you respond.

Said before you ask

What no one can promise with reviews

Reviews build up as you ask your real customers. Nobody can say how many will come, or how fast.

Nobody can promise you a number of reviews.

Google does not allow a business to ask only happy customers for reviews, or to give anything in return for one, and the FTC's rule on reviews bans fake reviews and review suppression. Google also decides which reviews stay up, so we cannot remove a bad one.

Here is what we do instead: send every real customer the same link, and make sure every complaint reaches you while you can still put it right.

We never

  • Offer discounts, gifts or anything else for a review
  • Ask only the happy customers
  • Promise to remove a bad review
  • Promise a number of reviews or a star rating
  • Set up anything that keeps unhappy customers off Google

Questions

Questions about reviews

Can I offer a discount for a review?

No. Google does not allow payment, discounts, free goods or services in return for a review. We never offer anything for a review, and we will not set it up for you.

Can I send the review link only to happy customers?

No. Google does not allow asking only happy customers for reviews, and the FTC's rule on reviews bans review suppression. Every customer gets the same link. Any complaint also comes straight to you, so you can call the customer and put it right.

Can you remove a bad review?

No, and nobody can promise that. If a review breaks Google's rules you can report it, and Google decides. For the rest, a calm, short reply helps the next person who reads it. In Get Customers (Tier 2) and up we draft a reply to every new review.

Does the review count on my website matter?

A customer who checks will see the difference, and it makes the site look careless. We show only your real Google reviews and link to the live listing, so there is only one number.

When do the review requests go out?

After a job, to your real customers, with a direct link to your Google review page. Review requests are part of Get Customers (Tier 2) and up.
